WINE LIST

White Wine

Finca Nova £16.95      (swc 14.9)

Spanish white variety, and is most prominent in the area of ValdepeÒas where this wine is from. Pale lemon in colour with clean, fresh and fruity aromas. Soft citrus flavours predominate on the palate, with a crisp finish.

Wolf House Pinot Grigio  £16.00 (swc 15)

Romania may not be your first thought when looking for a great value Pinot Grigio but this wine is truly that. Loads of apple and pear fruit flavours are balanced by a crisp acidity and a refreshing finish. Romanian wines are definitely on the map and ones to watch.

Trebuchet Chardonnay£25.00  (swc 19)

Our team’s favourite. This South African Chardonnay is made by Journey's End winery, a small vineyard estate renovated, expanded and extensively replanted under the ownership of wine impresario Roger Gabb. In 2013, a 60ft working medieval trebuchet was erected on the estate as a focal point for events. A pale lemon yellow with youthfully green flashes, this wine has characteristic aromas of lime and tropical fruits. Gently crisp on the palate, providing plenty of refreshment.

Leon Perdigal 2015 Cote Du Rhone £25.00 (swc 19)

This wine is a blend of five traditional white varieties sourced from several vineyard areas across the southern Rhône, including the districts of Vaucluse, Gard, Ardèche and Drôme. Fermented at low temperatures and matured without oak. An approachable wine with medium intensity and a gently complex nose of pear, white peach and delicate honeysuckle scents.

Fathoms Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Marlborough NZ  £25.00 (swc 19)

A superb value Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand's winemaking heartland. Grapes are sourced from a number of partner growers throughout Marlborough, and undergo a short, cool fermentation period for maximum expressiveness of fruit. Typical of Marlborough Sauvignon, the bouquet springs from the glass, offering plumes of citrus, green grass and elderflower. The palate is a burst of crisp grapefruit and gooseberry flavours.
