FAQ’s

 

  1.  Why is wedding hire more expensive?

 

We know from experience a wedding needs more time to plan, set up and deliver, so we allow you to have The Event Space from 10 am to dress the room until 9 am the next day. Giving you enough time to clear and collect your personal items. Our prices covers site visits, meetings and support to make sure everything runs smoothly. We know it’s important, so we will try and accommodate an earlier set up if we have nothing on the day before.

 

2.  What’s included in the event hire?

 

The hire includes room hire and tables and chairs and the bar facilities as required.

 

3.  What extras do I need to consider?

 

Basic extras include, catering, table linen, PA system, DJ, projector, extra  lighting, entertainment.

 

4.  Can I exceed the maximum numbers?

 

We can accommodate more people if we use the entire space for a function, so give us a call and let’s see what we can do.

 

5.  Can I book the Kitchen/café during the day?

 

We are open to the public from 8.30 until 4pm daily, so we don’t like to change this routine, but sometimes we can section off a part of the Kitchen to accommodate a reception.

6. What is a basic ‘Party Evening Hire’?

 

This is a hire of the event space with bar facilities and tables and chairs as required.

7. What is a Corporate Day Delegate Hire?

Companies wanting to hire the space for team building or meetings want a day rate to include welcome tea/coffee & biscuit, a buffet lunch and an afternoon serving of tea and coffee. Use of flip chat and a projector. Min 10 delegates max 100.

 

8.  Can I arrange my own catering?


Sorry we can only use our in-house caterers The Cotswold Cooks. They are fantastic cooks and incredibly flexible.

 

9.  How do I arrange delivery of personal items for an event?

 

We need to know in advance of any items being pre-delivered so we can arrange storage.

10. Do you allow charity events?

 

As a company we support 3 charities and like to think we do our bit. Obviously we need to run the venue as a businesses, but if the space is quite or out of season, then we do like to try and support local charities and events. Sadly we can only decide approximately 4 weeks before your event if we can offer you the space for free or at a reduction. If you would like to book the space for a fund raiser, perhaps we can help with a donation from the food and beverage sales. Either way, send us a message and lets see what we can do together.

11. Can you organise team building, entertainment or theme a party?

 

Yes, we are an event management company specialising in corporate travel, events and activities. We venue find and book hotel accommodation for clients. In addition we have another country house venue just 6 miles away and plenty of ideas. It’s what we do, so give us a call! Planet Pursuits 01793 772999

12. Are you a restaurant?

 

Hmmm interesting! By day we are a cafe, serving great food and coffee, with a selection of craft (& regular beers) & gins at the bar. By night (Friday and Saturday) we don't want to be a regular pub or bistro, so we offer supper clubs, pop up nights & secret chefs.
